Targeted financial assistance to families affected by the war
Assistance to families of internally displaced persons and refugees, families of fallen and
wounded soldiers and other families who found themselves in difficult life circumstances as a
result of the war. In particular, the assistance was provided to families with many children,
families with disabled children, etc. More than 250 families received assistance: for example,
for families with children affected by the war, the funds raised during the tour of the
performance The Singing Windmills by PM Theater Company were used and transferred
via the CF Human and Law. Another 310 families received assistance in the amount of 3
000 UAH as a part of the KhHRPG project with the support of the Danish organization
DIGNITY.
Assistance to convicts serving their sentences in prisons.
It is known that due to constant underfunding, penitentiary institutions had poor conditions of
detention before. And after the start of the full-scale war, the problem became even more
acute. With the support of the DIGNITY Center for Combating Torture (Copenhagen), a
program to help prisoners was launched on July 1, 2022. Over six months, 476 packages of
food were handed over to convicts who do not have any support from the outside. We also
paid for the services of the State Migration Service to issue passports for 71 convicts. In
addition, in 2023, it is planned to deliver 1000 parcels for 800 UAH each and to issue
passports for 364 people for 485 UAH each.
Charitable assistance to families with a deceased civilian
This program was launched in 2023. The amount of 1 666 666 Swedish kronor, half of the
2022 Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the Memorial, was donated to KhHRPG by the
International Memorial Board to help families with a deceased civilian.
Targeted financial assistance to former Soviet political prisoners
This program was active in 2021-2022, before the war. Support was provided to 16
dissidents.
